US and Georgia hold military drills, as Russia shows off naval strength

The U.S. and Georgia are holding their largest ever joint military exercise, the BBC reports. About 1,600 American troops and 800 Georgian troops are training together in Georgia as U.S. Vice President Mike Pence head’s to the Caucasus country to back Georgia’s NATO bid. Meanwhile, Russia held a naval display in St. Petersburg on Sunday, which Putin attended.
